“Working On Your Testimony”
Jasmine Corcoran
Focus:
Trusting the unseen work of God as He turns tears into testimony
Scripture References (NIV):
• Psalm 56:8 — “Record my misery; list my tears on your scroll—are they not in your record?”
• Isaiah 64:4 — “Since ancient times no one has heard, no ear has perceived, no eye has seen any God besides you, who acts on behalf of those who wait for him.”
Devotion:
Working On Your Testimony reminds us that God is always moving, even when we cannot see it. When the song declares, “Do not give up on Him, He is working in ways you cannot see,” it speaks to the hidden faithfulness of God. He is present in the quiet moments, the painful moments, and the waiting moments. He is arranging, healing, restoring, and preparing things long before they appear in our lives. What feels silent is not abandonment. It is God working behind the scenes with intentional love.
The lyric, “He sees your tears, He hears your prayers, just have faith, just believe,” reveals the tenderness of God toward His children. Not one tear is wasted. Not one prayer is ignored. God collects every tear and responds to every cry. Faith becomes the bridge between what we feel and what God is doing. Believing does not mean we understand everything. It means we trust the One who understands everything. Your testimony is being written in real time, shaped by His compassion and strengthened by His presence.
As you reflect today, remember that God is not finished with your story. The tears you have cried are watering the ground for the testimony that is coming. The prayers you have prayed are opening doors you cannot yet see. The faith you hold onto is positioning you for breakthrough. God is working, and when He reveals what He has been doing, it will be worth every moment you waited.
Reflection:
1. What area of your life requires renewed faith that God is working behind the scenes
2. How has God used past tears to shape your testimony
Prayer:
Lord, thank You for working in ways I cannot see. Thank You for seeing my tears and hearing my prayers. Strengthen my faith as I wait for the testimony You are writing in my life. Help me to trust Your timing and Your heart. Amen.
