Loved Through It All

3/9/26, 12:00 PM

Inspired by:
“Good & Bad”
J. Moss

Focus:
Resting in the unconditional love of God that covers our past and secures our future

Scripture References (NIV):
• Romans 5:8 — “But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”

• Jeremiah 29:11 — “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

Devotion:
Good & Bad is a powerful reminder that the love of God is not based on our perfection. When the song declares, “You love me through my good, You love me through my bad,” it reveals the heart of a Father who does not abandon us when we fall short. God sees every part of us—our strengths, our struggles, our victories, and our failures—and He loves us completely through them all. His love is not fragile. His love is not conditional. His love is steady, patient, and unwavering.

The lyric, “You did not erase my future because of my past,” speaks directly to the grace of God. He does not cancel His plans for us because of our mistakes. He does not withdraw His purpose because of our imperfections. Instead, He redeems, restores, and rewrites our story with mercy. God’s love reaches into the broken places and brings healing. It reaches into the shame-filled places and brings freedom. It reaches into the uncertain places and brings hope. His love secures a future that is greater than anything our past could ever disqualify.

As you reflect today, let your heart rest in the truth that you are fully known and fully loved. God has seen every chapter of your life, and He still calls you chosen, valuable, and purposed. Nothing you have done can erase what He has planned. Nothing you have faced can cancel what He has spoken. His love covers your past, carries you in the present, and prepares you for a future filled with hope.

Reflection:
1. Where have you experienced the unconditional love of God in your life
2. What part of your past do you need to release so you can embrace the future God has secured for you

Prayer:
Lord, thank You for loving me through my good and through my bad. Thank You for not erasing my future because of my past. Help me to walk in the freedom of Your love and to trust the plans You have prepared for me. Amen.

Action Steps:
1. Speak this aloud today: “God loves me through it all, and my future is secure in Him.”
2. Write down one area where you will receive God’s grace instead of holding onto guilt.
3. Share this devotion and the message of Good & Bad with someone who needs encouragement.

Remember:
God’s love does not change with your behavior. It changes your life.
