• Psalm 9:10 — “Those who know your name trust in you, for you, Lord, have never forsaken those who seek you.”
Devotion:
Same God is a declaration of trust in the God who has proven Himself faithful throughout every generation. When the song proclaims, “I do not need another reason, I do not need more convincing,” it reflects a heart that has seen God move before and believes He will move again. Faith grows when we remember His history with us. The same God who opened doors, healed wounds, provided strength, and made a way in the past is the same God who stands with us today. His character does not shift with circumstances. His power does not weaken with time. His love does not fade with seasons.
The lyric, “I trust the One who is greater than the storm,” reminds us that storms do not intimidate God. He is greater than every battle, every fear, and every unknown. When the song declares, “The same God who made a way is the same God who is here today,” it anchors us in the truth that God’s presence is not distant. He is near, active, and fully involved in our lives. What He has done before, He is able to do again. His consistency is our confidence. His faithfulness is our foundation.
As you reflect today, let your trust rise. You do not need more signs or more proof. You have already seen His hand. You have already experienced His power. You have already witnessed His goodness. The same God who carried you through your last season is carrying you now. The same God who made a way before is preparing a way again. Trust Him with boldness. Trust Him with expectation. Trust Him because He has never changed.

Lord, You are the same God yesterday, today, and forever. I trust You because You have never failed me. Thank You for being greater than every storm and for making a way in every season. Strengthen my faith and help me to rest in Your unchanging character. Amen.
