Scripture References (NIV):

• Hebrews 10:25 — “Not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another…”
Devotion:
We Have Come is a powerful reminder of why we gather in the presence of God. When the song declares, “We have come into this house to gather in His name to worship Christ the Lord,” it calls us back to the heart of worship. Worship is not a routine or a ritual. It is a response to the greatness of God. When we enter His presence, we come with reverence, gratitude, and expectation. We come because He is worthy. We come because He has invited us to draw near. We come because there is no higher honor than lifting His name.
This song also reminds us that worship is both personal and collective. God meets us individually, but He also moves powerfully when His people gather with one purpose. When we worship together, our voices unite, our faith strengthens, and our hearts align with heaven. In His presence, burdens lift, clarity comes, and peace settles. Worship shifts our focus from everything around us to the One who reigns above us. It is in these moments that we remember who He is and who we are in Him.
As you reflect today, enter God’s presence with intention. Set aside distractions and lift your heart in worship. Whether you are in a sanctuary, in your home, or in a quiet moment alone, you can still declare, “I have come to worship Christ the Lord.” He is worthy of your time, your attention, and your praise. When you come before Him, He meets you with love, strength, and glory.
