Maverick City Music
Focus:
Closing the year with worship, declaring God’s glory, and entering the new year with praise
Scripture References (NIV):
• Revelation 19:1 — “After this I heard what sounded like the roar of a great multitude in heaven shouting: ‘Hallelujah! Salvation and glory and power belong to our God.’”
• Psalm 145:13 — “Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and your dominion endures through all generations. The Lord is trustworthy in all he promises and faithful in all he does.”
Devotion:
As the year comes to a close, Maverick City’s Revelation 19:1 reminds us that the highest note we can end on is worship. Hallelujah is the sound of victory, gratitude, and reverence.
On New Year’s Eve, we look back at God’s faithfulness and forward to His promises. He has been Wonderful, sustaining us through every trial and triumph. Tonight, let your heart join heaven: All praises be to the King of Kings. As you step into a new year, carry worship with you, it is the key to strength, peace, and hope.
Reflection:
1. What hallelujah can you lift as you reflect on God’s faithfulness in 2025?
2. How can you begin 2026 with a posture of worship and praise?
Prayer:
Lord, Hallelujah to You, the King of Kings. Thank You for carrying me through this year and for the promise of Your everlasting kingdom. As I step into a new year, let my life resound with praise to You. Amen.
Action steps:
1. Take a moment tonight to list three ways God has been Wonderful in 2025.
2. Say aloud: “All praises be to the King of Kings.”
3. Share this devotion and the song “Revelation 19:1” with someone as a New Year’s encouragement.
Remember:
The best way to close the year and begin the next is with hallelujah—praise to the King of Kings.
