Chains Fall at His Name
11/26/25, 1:00 PM
Inspired by:
“Break Every Chain”
Tasha Cobbs
Focus:
Trusting in the unmatched power of Jesus’ name to bring freedom and victory
Scripture References (NIV):
• John 8:36 — “So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed."
• Philippians 2:10 — “That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth.”
Devotion:
Chains represent anything that binds us—fear, doubt, addiction, shame, or even hidden struggles. Tasha Cobbs’ Break Every Chain reminds us that freedom is not found in our strength, but in His name. The name of Jesus carries authority, power, and victory. When spoken in faith, it breaks what seems unbreakable.
Today, declare His name over your life. Speak it over your family, your future, your battles. Chains do not stand a chance against the One who conquered death and rose in power. Freedom is not just possible—it is promised. And it is yours in Jesus.
Reflection:
1. What “chains” in your life need to be broken by the power of Jesus’ name?
2. How can you actively walk in the freedom Christ has already secured for you?
Prayer:
Jesus, Your name is power. I declare freedom in every area of my life where chains have tried to hold me. Thank You for breaking what I could not break on my own. I walk in Your victory today. Amen.
Action steps:
1. Write down one chain you are believing God to break and pray over it daily this week.
2. Say aloud: “There is power in the name of Jesus to break every chain.”
3. Share this devotion and the song “Break Every Chain” with someone who needs encouragement in their fight for freedom.
Remember:
Chains do not define you—freedom in Christ does.
