Focus:
Resting in the protection, provision, and peace of the Good Shepherd
Scripture References (NIV):
• Psalm 23:1 — “The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing.”
• Psalm 27:5 — “For in the day of trouble he will keep me safe in his dwelling; he will hide me in the shelter of his sacred tent and set me high upon a rock.”
Devotion:
Avery Sunshine’s “Safe In His Arms” so beautifully reminds us of the unshakable truth that God is our Shepherd, our Keeper, and our Protector. When the storms of life rise, when pressures intensify, and when uncertainty surrounds us, God does not step back. He draws closer. He covers us. He hides us in the safety of His presence.
As our Shepherd, God provides everything we need. He guides us, restores us, strengthens us, and leads us into peace. His care is intentional and personal. He knows our fears, our needs, and our silent prayers. Nothing catches Him by surprise, and nothing is too great for His hands.
Storms may come, but they cannot overpower the One who shelters us. Winds may blow, but they cannot remove us from His grip. God does not promise a life without storms, but He promises that we will never face them alone. In His arms, we find rest. In His presence, we find safety. In His love, we find everything we need.
Today, breathe deeply and remember that you are covered. You are protected. You are safe in the arms of the Shepherd who never fails.
