“Thank You For It All”
Marvin Sapp
Focus:
Offering gratitude to God in every season—victory or struggle, joy or pain
Scripture References (NIV):
• 1 Thessalonians 5:18 — “Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.”
• Romans 8:37 — “No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.”
Devotion:
Thank You For It All reminds us that gratitude is not reserved for the good times—it is a posture of the heart in every season. Whether in triumph or trial, God is worthy of thanks. Every victory is evidence of His power, and every fall is met with His grace.
Thanking Him for it all means acknowledging His hand in the journey, the lessons learned, the strength gained, and the faith deepened. Gratitude transforms our perspective, turning even the “ugly” into testimony. Today, lift your voice and declare: “Lord, I thank You for it all.”
Reflection:
1. What situation in your life can you thank God for, even if it was difficult?
2. How does gratitude change the way you view both victories and failures?
Prayer:
Lord, thank You for it all—the good, the bad, the victories, and the falls. Thank You for being faithful in every season. Help me to live with a heart of gratitude, trusting that You are working all things for my good. Amen.
Action steps:
1. Write down three things—one good, one hard, and one unexpected, that you can thank God for today.
2. Say aloud: “Lord, I thank You for it all.”
3. Share this devotion and the song “Thank You For It All” with someone who needs encouragement to live with gratitude.
Remember:
Gratitude is not about circumstances, it’s about recognizing God’s faithfulness in them all.
