Less of Me, More of You

12/16/25, 1:00 PM

Inspired by:
“I Desire More”
Crystal Aikin

Focus:
Surrendering self and longing for more of God’s presence, power, and purpose

Scripture References (NIV):

• John 3:30 — “He must become greater; I must become less."

• Galatians 2:20 — “I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.”

Devotion:
Crystal Aikin’s I Desire More captures the essence of true worship—longing for God to increase while we decrease. To desire more of Him means surrendering our pride, our plans, and our will, so His Spirit can fill us completely.

When we say “less of me and more of You,” we acknowledge that our strength, wisdom, and desires are limited, but His are limitless. Transformation happens when we yield and when we allow Christ to live through us. Today, let your prayer be one of surrender: more of His presence, more of His power, more of His will.

Reflection:
1. What areas of your life need “less of me and more of You”?
2. How can you daily invite God to increase while you decrease?

Prayer:
Lord, I desire more of You. Let there be less of me and more of Your Spirit in my life. Fill me with Your presence, guide me with Your wisdom, and let my life reflect Christ living in me. Amen.

Action steps:
1. Write down one area where you need to surrender control—pray over it today.
2. Say aloud: “Less of me, more of You.”
3. Share this devotion and the song “I Desire More” with someone who needs encouragement to seek God’s presence.

Remember:
True transformation begins with surrender—less of us, more of Him.
