Letting Go, Letting God

12/13/25, 1:00 PM

Inspired by:
“Let Go”
DeWayne Woods

Focus:
Surrendering control and trusting God’s way brings breakthrough and peace

Scripture References (NIV):

• Proverbs 3:5–6 — “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.”

• 1 Peter 5:7 — “Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.”

Devotion:
DeWayne Woods’ Let Go reminds us that breakthrough begins with surrender. We often hold tightly to our plans, fears, and burdens, but true freedom comes when we release them into God’s hands. Letting go is not weakness, it is trust.

When we let God have His way, He moves in ways we could never orchestrate. He brings peace where there was anxiety, clarity where there was confusion, and strength where there was weakness. Today, choose to let go of what you cannot control and trust the One who holds it all together.

Reflection:
1. What burden or situation do you need to let go of today?
2. How can you practice trusting God’s way instead of leaning on your own understanding?

Prayer:
Lord, I let go and I let You have Your way. I release my fears, my plans, and my burdens into Your hands. Thank You for caring for me and for bringing peace when I surrender. Amen.

Action steps:
1. Write down one burden you have been carrying, pray and release it to God.
2. Say aloud: “I let go and I let God have His way.”
3. Share this devotion and the song “Let Go” with someone who needs encouragement to surrender.

Remember:
Breakthrough begins with surrender—things start happening when you let go and let God.
