Speak Life Over Yourself
11/10/25, 1:00 PM
Inspired by:
“Encourage Yourself”
The Tri-City Singers
Focus:
Declaring God’s truth over your life when no one else is around to do it
Scripture References (NIV):
• 1 Samuel 30:6b — “But David found strength in the Lord his God.”
• Proverbs 18:21 — “The tongue has the power of life and death, and those who love it will eat its fruit.”
Devotion:
There are moments when the crowd is silent, the phone does not ring, and encouragement feels far away. That’s when you must do what David did—encourage yourself in the Lord. The Tri-City Singers’ anthem reminds us that speaking life is not optional—it is essential.
Your words carry power. When you speak God’s promises over your situation, you shift the atmosphere. You silence doubt. You stir faith. Today, do not wait for someone else to lift you—lift yourself. Say what God says. Declare what He has promised. Speak over yourself until your soul remembers: I am loved. I am chosen. I am strong. I am enough.
Reflection:
1. What negative words have you believed that need to be replaced with truth?
2. How can you build a habit of speaking life over yourself daily?
Prayer:
Lord, thank You for Your Word—it is life to my soul. Help me speak truth when I feel weak, and declare Your promises when I feel alone. I choose to encourage myself in You today. Amen.
Action steps:
1. Write down three affirmations rooted in scripture—say them aloud each morning this week.
2. Say aloud: “I will encourage myself in the Lord.”
3. Share this devotion and the song “Encourage Yourself” with someone who needs to speak life today.
Remember:
When no one else speaks up—your voice still matters. Speak life. Speak truth. Speak victory.
