Total Praise, Total Trust

11/5/25, 1:00 PM

Inspired by:
“Total Praise”
Donnie McClurkin (feat. Richard Smallwood)

Focus:
Lifting your hands and heart in full surrender to the One who is your strength and peace

Scripture References (NIV):

• Psalm 121:1–2 — “I lift up my eyes to the mountains—where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth.”

• Nehemiah 8:10b — “Do not grieve, for the joy of the Lord is your strength.”

Devotion:
There’s a kind of praise that rises not from perfection, but from dependence. Total Praise is that kind of worship. It’s the sound of a soul that knows where its help comes from. When Donnie McClurkin and Richard Smallwood declare, “You are the source of my strength,” it’s not just a song it’s total surrender.

God doesn’t ask for partial praise. He desires your whole heart—your joy and your sorrow, your strength and your weakness. When you lift your hands in total praise, you’re saying, “I trust You with it all.” Today, let your worship be your weapon. Let your praise be your posture. He is your strength, your peace, your everything.

Reflection:
1. What are you holding onto that you need to release in total praise?
2. How can you make praise your first response instead of your last resort?

Prayer:
Lord, You are the source of my strength and the strength of my life. I lift my hands in total praise to You. Even when I don’t understand, I trust You. Even when I’m weak, I lean on You. Receive my worship today—it’s all Yours. Amen.

Action steps:
1. Take 5 minutes today to worship with no requests—just praise.
2. Say aloud: “You are my strength. I lift my hands in total praise.”
3. Share this devotion and the song “Total Praise” with someone who needs encouragement and strength.

Remember:
Total praise isn’t about how you feel—it’s about who He is. And He is worthy.
