Scripture References (NIV):
• Psalm 16:11 — “You make known to me the path of life; you will fill me with joy in your presence, with eternal pleasures at your right hand.”
• Colossians 1:13–14 — “For he has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son he loves, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.”
Devotion:
Happy joyfully reminds us that true joy is not found in circumstances, achievements, or people. It is found in Jesus. When the song declares, “You make me happy, You make me whole, You take the pain away,” it speaks to the healing and restoring power of His presence. Jesus does not simply improve our lives. He transforms them. He lifts burdens, heals wounds, and fills empty places with joy that the world cannot give and cannot take away. His presence brings wholeness where there was brokenness and peace where there was turmoil.
The song continues, “Everything about You is right, it covers my wrong, Your life saved my life.” These words remind us of the grace that has redeemed us. The righteousness of Jesus covers every failure, every mistake, and every moment we fell short. His sacrifice saved us, restored us, and brought us into a place of belonging. When we say, “With You is where I belong,” we acknowledge that our identity, our purpose, and our stability are found in Him alone. In His presence, we are safe. In His love, we are complete. In His grace, we are made whole.
As you reflect today, let your heart rest in the truth that you cannot make it without Him—and you do not have to. Jesus is your joy, your strength, your covering, and your home. Everything about Him is right, and everything you need is found in Him. Stay close to Him. Love Him deeply. Walk with Him daily. With Him is where you belong.

Prayer:
Lord, You make me happy and You make me whole. Thank You for taking my pain away and covering my wrongs with Your grace. With You is where I belong. Help me to remain close to You and to live each day in the joy of Your presence. Amen.
