Devotion:
You Deserve My Praise is a reminder that our worship is not empty or routine. It is a response to a God who has protected us, healed us, and watched over us with unfailing love. When the song declares, “For protecting me, for healing me, for watching over me,” it points to the countless ways God has covered us—seen and unseen. There were dangers we did not notice, attacks we did not feel, and storms we did not face because God stood between us and what was meant to harm us. His protection is constant, intentional, and personal.
The healing of God is another reason He deserves our praise. He heals our bodies, but He also heals our hearts, our minds, and our broken places. His healing reaches deeper than medicine, deeper than words, and deeper than time. He restores what life tried to take and strengthens what trials tried to weaken. His watchful care surrounds us day and night. He has kept us when we could not keep ourselves. He has carried us when we were too weary to stand. Every breath, every victory, and every breakthrough is evidence of His faithfulness.
As you reflect today, let your praise rise from a grateful heart. God has been good to you. He has been faithful to you. He has been present in every season. He deserves your praise not only for what He has done, but for who He is—protector, healer, keeper, and Father. Lift your voice, lift your hands, and lift your heart. He deserves it all.
